Welcome to the Florida International University Phi Alpha Delta Website! Phi Alpha Delta's purpose is to help you make an informed decision about law school. Many students interested in law school are unsure of what step to take next. Pre-law students often have questions and concerns which may go unanswered, but that's where Phi Alpha Delta steps in. PAD gives you the tools you need to be prepared as you make one of the most important decisions of your life, the decision to attend law school. But how exactly do we do that? First, we have numerous professional development events. These events, which include law school tours, courthouse tours, prominent speakers, law student panels, attorney dinners, etc., allow you to first hand experience the career which awaits you, or simply decide if that's the path for you. We also hold a variety of workshops, which include how to prepare for the LSAT, how to build a resume, when to begin the application process, and many more. Lastly, one of the most important tools PAD provides, are your brothers. Not only will you build friendships to last a lifetime, but in the process you will be surrounding yourself with people who share similar ambitions. PAD brothers continually provide support for each other sharing their experiences, advice, and tips on the entire law school application process. We encourage anyone interested in attending law school to consider becoming a part of Phi Alpha Delta. It's a decision you won't regret, you'll find out what a truly means to be a PAD!

Letter from the President

Picture
Phi Alpha Delta is proud to be the first and only law fraternity at FIU. The purpose of this fraternity is to aid our membership in their intent to attend law school. The FIU chapter aspires to provide the tools needed to better the application process and attitudes towards law school; we do so by providing speakers, resume workshops, community services opportunities, courthouse tours, and current law student info sessions among other insightful activities.  We take pleasure in granting new members, embarking on the journey to applying for law school, the opportunity to meet peers that have already done so. This allows them to have a clear view of what the application process entails. At FIU we are fortunate to have a law school, and with that access to all of their resources. whether it is to sit in a law school class or to see the facilities, we can arrange it. Joining this fraternity will not only help you to become a better candidate for law school but over all a better young adult.

Sincerely,
Eduardo Romero
